In most schools there are programs to help youth quit smoking. Right now they do not openly welcome and support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersexed, queer and questioning (LGBTIQ) youth.
I have presented an outline of a workshop for the National Conference On Tobacco Or Health (NCTOH-the HUGE Tobacco control conference that is happening right after our LGBTIQ Anti-Tobacco Summit) that will give suggestions to help make them more inclusive of LGBTIQ needs.
If my workshop is selected I would like to have a youth Co-Present with me who either helps peers quit smoking in a school based program or who stopped smoking with the help of a school based program and has ideas on how to make it more LGBTIQ friendly. Anyone Interested??
