§ It is important that everyone contributes their voice.
§ Please be aware of varying comfort levels (i.e. “being out) related to identifying as being LGBTQ.
§ Respect all people at all times. This includes NO racism, classism, heterosexism, ableism, ageism, and other forms of discrimination.
§ It is okay to ask questions about an issue that may be bothering you. If you feel uncomfortable speaking about the issue in the group, please contact R.E. or Sheryll.
§ Assume good intentions as we learn from each other. Provide & accept feedback.
§ New rules can be added to this list as participants feel necessary.

§ Holly – heads the new youth tobacco free mvmt with blue cross blue shield. Will probably be heading all youth activities at the NCToH

Susan: NYAC mini-balls put on by youth at the conference generated 2-300 youth (in D.C., at an LGBTIQ youth conference). Houses drove in from Philly and NYC. They didn’t need to provide.
f. Other activities at the ball?
Drag makeovers?
g. What about other people coming into the ball who aren’t attending the conference? Will they be allowed in? How late can we go? Check with Danya.
VII. During the LGBTI Anti-Tobacco Summit… What do we want to happen?

Youth-related workshops will also be held in this room during the 2 breakout session times.

Timeline & Update
Hello All:
I have been busy trying to put together a general timeline with tasks to achieve by certain dates for the whole conference. So each subcommittee including this youth one will have to try to come up with a general plan so we can plan who is doing what by when . . . the beauty of grassroots community organizing, we all have to do something or the conference will not happen.
The budget looks good. Hopefully, we can have our costs worked out so that we can try to raise the money for the conference. As one of the Co-Chairs for the conference we are trying to get the budget done by the end of the week.
I am also working on Content/Programming for the whole conference and we are in the process of putting out a call for proposals soon.
I am also volunteering to try to raise money to get as many youth as possible to both our summit and NCTOH.
I sang at a Wedding last week to earn the money for my entrance fee; at least lesbians can still profit from those who with the privileges and rights to Marry in this country.

Where is everyone? No one seems to be posting any blogs. By the way I am not the only one allowed to post blogs. Please everyone check your junk mail folder or let the people know to check your junk mail or bulk mail to find the invitation to this blog.
